Neon Ghosts - in production - movie
“Sometimes an idea is so persuasive, you will find yourself drawn to it and willing to spend time on it, whether or not it can become physically manifest.”
In the case of Neon Ghosts the barrier between the real and digital death is about to come undone.
“We live in a world where uploading our photos is a part of everyday life, and the sharing of personal information with virtual strangers is commonplace. Already [all] this uploaded content has opened the door for new breeds of identity theft and crimes […]
What if someone was capable of not just recreating your ID, but also your shape.
And what if this new digital shape started mutating and contaminating flesh, making it impossible to distinguish it from the real you?
Neon Ghosts deals with the problem of identity and how technology can influence and control who we are.”
So far the movie has been fueled by money and time out of the creative team’s own pocket.
But if you have some loose change knocking about, you could give the movie that little extra push to make it that bit of extra awesome.
How awesome you ask? Well this is what they plan to do:
“Neon Ghosts [visual themes] are linked to the cyberpunk movies tradition, and one of the main goals of the film production is to create a raw world of wires; a dystopian, retro future in the style of movies such as Brazil and 12 Monkeys, mixing key features of current cutting edge technology with classic designs of the past.”
“All the money you donate will be used to help our design team create stunning sets, awesome weapons and inspired costuming, and to enable us to secure the right locations, feed our crew during the shooting days, and have special effects make-up that do our mutations justice.”

Of course aside from the warm feeling you get in having help made an idea physically existent in this world, the Neonghosts indie gogo campaign gives you swag with to go with that and at any level you will have access to the video diary made by Magnus Sindig who plays the lead role.
